The Urban Unit Library provides a brilliant example of the collaborative and interactive relation between research and information within the intellectual & electronic environment. There are more than 2500 books in the state of the art library on urban development related subjects and more than
4000 research material. The library collection is multi-faceted and reflects the Urban Unit’s research wellbeing in the following subjects and themes:Urban Planning & Development, Municipal Finance, Urban Transport, Water & Sanitation, and Solid Waste Management. In addition to this the library has books on Geographic Information System (GIS), Environmental Sciences, Law, Social Sciences, Social Research Methods, Psychology, Religion, History, Geography, and IT etc. Some reference tools are also acquired like atlases, census reports, economic survey data reports, budget and development plan documents, documents pertaining to important legislations, news clippings development reports and institutional reports, research reports, project reports of varied nature. Some national newspapers, and subscribed international journals & magazines are also part of the Library
